Tell Aushariye 2005
In April and May 2005 new excavations were carried out at Tell Aushariye.
We here present some selected finds and results.

Important notice
The latest excavations have revealed a “new” occupation level at Tell Aushariye: Level IV, which can be dated to the transitional period between the Late Bronze Age and the early Iron Age (ca. 1300-1100 B.C.). In consequence the stratigraphic sequence should be revised as follows:
the former Level IV is now = Level V
Level V is now = Level VI
Level VI is now = Level VII
Level VII is now = Level VIII
etc.
NB: Only section on the 2005 season follows this new system. For other sections levels older than Level III must be read as N+I.
